But the tensile strength of cemented carbide is low, the impact toughness is poor, the edge is not sharp, more difficult to process, not easy to make the shape of the more complex overall tool, so now can not completely replace the HSS.

SKD11 is a Japanese tool steel grades, is a good wear resistance of the general cold work die steel, is a kind of alloy tool steel, does not belong to high-speed tool steel, the basic is also used for mold materials, heat treatment can reach HRC58- 60. It is suitable for cold extrusion, stretch film, beer stainless steel, and has good quenching property, and the quenching deformation is small, the most suitable for the precision of the mold, and has a good high temperature strength, toughness and high temperature fatigue performance, Can withstand the sudden change in temperature, suitable for long-term work at high temperatures, with excellent cutting performance and polishing performance.
Raw High Speed Steel materials
Cr12MoV (international standard name, also known as D2) is a cold work die steel, is a kind of alloy tool steel, suitable for manufacturing larger cross-section, complex shape, heavy working conditions under a variety of cold mold And tools such as punching die, trimming die, piping die, steel deep drawing die, circular saw, standard tools and gauges, thread rolling and so on.
 
9CrSi also belongs to alloy tool steel, with brittleness and hard, as well as on the surface quenching heat sensitivity and easy to crack the tendency. 9crsi material if it can heat treatment, the use of value will be a certain increase. This material suitable crushing more brittle, the request is not very high product.
Ordinary alloy tool steel generally in the temperature of 180 ℃ -250 ℃ work, and high-speed tool steel at about 600 ℃ operating temperature, can still maintain a high hardness. I said that may not be comprehensive, high-speed tool steel is almost an upgraded version of alloy tool steel, but the alloy tool steel quenched with sufficient wear resistance, and good toughness, so I think different materials have their most suitable use, There is no absolute good or bad.
